上个星期周末，我在咖啡厅找到了可以采访的人。那家咖啡厅的主题是爵士乐，在那家咖啡厅你可以一边喝咖啡一边听音乐。我本来想采访那家咖啡厅的服务员，可是星期日的时候他们非常忙，因此我跟其他人聊天儿，因为我觉得那个地方的顾客可能比较喜欢音乐。

我花了很长时间想找到合适的人，终于碰到了两位年轻人，这两位男孩儿接受了我的采访。

他们都是流行音乐迷，他们一般来说常常听外国的流行音乐, 不过有的时候他们听外国摇滚乐。他们最喜欢的乐队是：“披头士”(美国的乐队）”“Rammstein” (德国的乐队）和 “Nothing for Good” (日本乐队）。 他们都来自北京， 所以他们通晓北京的乐队。他们给我介绍了一下他们对中国摇滚乐的看法, 而且还介绍了北京现代地下音乐的情况。他们说“后海大沙鱼”，”Car Sick Cars”, 和“Hang on the Box”是最受欢迎的乐队。北京也有很多举行音乐会 的场所 。可是他们说周末的时候这些场所特别拥挤。一位男孩儿告诉我他跟他的朋友有一次一起去听音乐会， 可是他发现他不喜欢举行音乐会的场所的环境，又不轻松又闹极了。

关于第一代 摇滚乐歌手的方面,他们告诉我崔健好是好. 可是他们的看法是崔健吹小号吹得比他的其他音乐好得多。他们觉得唐朝又比较有名又比较有独创性. 他们也认为，外国的音乐一定影响了中国摇滚乐和流行乐。 而且, 他们觉得在中国成立摇滚乐队算是一种爱好。你需要靠你的父母赚钱或者，一边上班工作，一边玩摇滚乐。

Still alive!

Only about a week and a half left here... I'll be said to leave. This place has really grown on me, the people Foreigners and Chinese I've met have all been amazing individuals. I wish I could sit in the Maya Bar for years and listen to everyones stories.

I'm scared of the quietness back home. Here you're never alone, there are always voices and sounds even through the wee hours of the morning. This place never stops moving.

But I have friends and family back home I want to hug and talk with, and I'll be back in China in about half a year.

I've decided during my next stay to document Chinese bands. Recently I picked up Queen Sea big Shark's CD and realized there are too many people with amazing work not known well enough overseas despite the fact that many sing in english. I want to change that.

Well I'll be home soon enough to talk everyones ears off and drink real chocolate milk.

But, in the meantime it's free Margarita night at Ponchos and SoS club awaits.

Still alive! But nursing a bruised butt. Last night I had drunken issues and fell on a step... OW my poor butt! But I'm slightl proud and nauseated at myself. At the Maya bar there are these huge vats of liquor with Boa Constrictors fermenting inside. I acctully drank a shot. I almost died, it was the most vile thing the Leech has ever had. Srsly. I woke up and uggg I brushed my teeth like 4 times and I swear I can still taste it. It was a foolish sort of bravery I hate shots in the first place but I let my I'll eat/drink anything as long as it's not a bug ego get in the way.

I think I'll be sticking to screw driver for the rest of the trip k thnx.

We're still alive! And Zach found a most dainty cake. We also found an awesome opium den like coffee shop with wireless across from a back alley temple so I'll be setting up a new blog after class today.

CURSES, THE GREAT FIREWALL OF CHINA HAS DEFEATED MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. So I'll have to post through flickr and google docs because blogspot and livejournal are blocked. My friend is working out a way to trick the internet but until now I'll just have to post through flickr mostly.

I'm here and doing really well, didn't feel the earth quake at all we did get a huge wind in the area when it happened though, everyones talking about it... kind of strange.

Anywho Zhe Jiang is an awesome school, I'm seriously thinking of attending here for Chinese instead of grad school. Speaking of Chinese the program coordinators basically ditched us. Out of 30 people only 3 can speak comprisable chinese... guess what I did all day yesterday. Any thoughts of being a translator have gone down the drain, lol.

I hope the lotus are blooming by may, they were two years ago, I want to do my homework on the lake shore surrounded by water blossoms...
